Pages

Pages are used for content that rarely needs to be updated (we call this “static” content). Every site is different, but your site will likely include pages like Homepage, About, Contact Us, and Support Us. Our template also has highly custom pages for Newsletter subscription and About the team.

Your site will have a lot more posts than pages, and you will mainly be working with posts when creating new content.

Create Pages if:
  • You will not update it frequently;
  • You don't want the content to be displayed on your RSS automatic newsletter;
  • You will use it for capturing emails or
  • You will use it as a landing page for your products (app, newsletter, etc)

Posts

Posts are used for content that is added or updated on a semi-regular basis. Your site uses posts for content like articles, blog posts, and podcasts. You can group posts into categories and assign them tags.

Create Posts if:
  • You want the content to be displayed on your RSS automatic newsletter;
  • You want to pin the headline at the top of your homepage;
  • This is a sponsored or underwritten content;
  • You will publish an investigative series or deep-dives or
  • You want the content to be listed on Authors and Category pages

Posts and Pages can be hidden from readers and from Google Bot. If a Post or Page is hidden from Google Bot, this content won't be displayed on search results.
