We’ll need access to some of your systems in order to provide the most value possible. Here’s a quick guide to the primary platforms we’ll use.

Before we get started, an important note: For security reasons, please don’t send any passwords by email or Slack. If necessary, we can share that information securely via SendSafely at this URL: https://www.sendsafely.com/u/publisherguide@indiegraf.com.

Branding 🎨

Why? Having your branding on file helps our team integrate your publication’s identity into all that we do. From website builds to revenue campaigns, we tailor the look and voice to your specific publication.

Have a brand guide? Drop it in slack and tag your pub guide.

At minimum, we’ll need logos, colors, fonts, favicon and stock images. The guide linked below lists specifications needed as well as recommendations on font pairings, accessibility and more.

For more information on what we need, check out this Branding Requirements Guide.

Domain Provider 💻

Why? Many Indiegraf Publishers need to connect their landing page, content management system or website to their domain. Indiegraf supports this work by adding DNS records to your DNS Settings from your domain registrar or whatever service your domain registrar's nameservers point to.

Essentially, this is how our tech teams connects your domain to your website.

How: There are two options to do this:

Please provide access in whatever way makes sense. For more information, visit our DNS guide.

Website 🚀

Why? Our tech team needs access to your content so that they can migrate it over to IndieTech.

How: If you have an existing website, please grant administrator privileges to publisherguide@indiegraf.com

Payment Processor 💸

Why? You’ll collect any revenue - both from your readers and/or from sponsorship and advertising - through a payment processor. If you’re working with our sponsorship team, you’ll also use Stripe to send invoices, collect payments, and more.

In addition, our teams will use it to analyze and monitor your revenue performance, including, but not limited to, active subscriber count, MRR, churn rate, and more.

How: If you have an existing Stripe account, grant Administrative access to publisherguide@indiegraf.com by following these instructions. This account will be used exclusively for audience revenue purposes. If you don’t have an existing Stripe account, please register for an account here first.

Website analytics 📈

Why? Google Analytics is a platform that collects data from your website to create reports that provide insights, like demographics, page views, monthly active users, etc. Our team uses these insights to analyze performance, track campaigns and keep an eye on your audience funnel.

How: If you use Google Analytics, add publisherguide@indiegraf.com as a user by following these instructions. At a minimum, please grant us administrator privileges. If you don’t currently have a Google Analytics account, please follow these instructions to create one.

Email Service Provider 💌

Why? Your Email Service Provider is likely your main avenue for sharing news and information with your audience. Our team uses your ESP to help draft campaign emails, send audience surveys, track subscriber growth, and more. (Don’t worry - we’ll never send anything without your approval)

How: For Mailchimp users, please provide your pub guide with the email address that owns your account. They’ll then send you a partnership request via email that you can accept.

For other ESPs, please grant us administrator access.

Meta Access 📱

Why? For Indiegraf to help you run certain campaigns on your behalf, such as lead generation, we need agency access to your Facebook page and Meta ad account.
