How do I create an account?

A step-by-step guide to creating a RevEngine account, from email verification and dashboard customization to inputting your organization's tax ID.

Before you can start using the RevEngine to collect revenue, you’ll need to create and verify an account.

In this article, you’ll learn the step-by-step process to get started with RevEngine.

How to create an account
  1. Navigate to RevEngine
  2. Click Create New Account
    1. Provide your email address, create a password, and agree to our terms and conditions
    2. Click Create Account. We’ll send a verification link to the email address you provided
  3. Check for a verification link in the inbox of the email address you provided
    1. Click the link and you should have immediate access to RevEngine
    2. If you're not immediately signed into the platform, go to RevEngine and re-enter the email and password you just provided to access your RevEngine account

If you don’t receive the verification link within a few minutes, check your spam folder, or the “promotions” tab if you’re using Gmail. If you still can’t find it, click Resend Verification Email located on the email verification screen.

Congrats! You’ve successfully signed up for the RevEngine.

Customize your experience:
  1. Tell us your name, job title, and the name of your organization so that we can personalize your RevEngine dashboard.
  2. Next, select your tax status as for-profit, nonprofit, or a fiscally sponsored organization. If your organization is fiscally sponsored, you must also provide the name of your fiscal sponsor.
  3. Provide your Tax ID (EIN number), which is shared with contributors in email receipts and ‘thank you’ pages. For assistance finding this number, see Where do I find my tax ID number? If you are fiscally sponsored, use the tax ID of your sponsor. For more information, see: How does my fiscally sponsored organization set up RevEngine?.

Once you’ve completed your account details, follow our instructions to connect your RevEngine account to Stripe.
