How do I create a contribution page?

A step-by-step guide to building, editing, and finding contribution pages in RevEngine, including limitations for Free and Core tiers.

The contribution page, which also might be referred to as a donation page, is how your readers financially support your work.

On these pages, prospective contributors can decide whether to make one-time or recurring payments to your organization. You can collect personal information for future campaigning, and there’s even an option for you to ask contributors why they gave to your organization.

In this article, we will go over the process of creating your own pages and finding them in RevEngine if you need to make changes.

Things to know

Here are some key things you should know about contribution pages.

Accessing your Dashboard

Log into the Revenue Engine’s dashboard to begin. You can access the sign-in page at RevEngine, where you will be prompted to enter your email and password.

How to create a contribution page

  1. Select Pages from the main menu of your dashboard
  2. Click the New Page button
  3. If your organization has multiple revenue programs (properties), you will first need to choose under which program to build. This is applicable only to clients in service tiers that include Salesforce.
  4. You will be taken to the page editor, where you can start customizing your page

If your organization is on the Free Tier, you are limited to creating one contribution page at a time. Upgrade to RevEngine Core or RevEngine+Salesforce to build and publish multiple pages.

Finding existing pages

If you have created multiple contribution pages, you will find them in the Pages section of your dashboard.

You can identify pages by name, published status, or thumbnail preview, which is updated every time the page is saved. Pages also can be searched for by name or URL using the search bar at the top of the dashboard.

After finding your desired page, click on it to enter its page editor.
