How do I cancel payments in Stripe?

The easiest way to cancel an active subscription is to ask the contributor to cancel their recurring payments through their contributor portal.

However, if you want to cancel a subscription on their behalf, you can do so through your Stripe account.

1. Login to your Stripe dashboard → https://dashboard.stripe.com/dashboard
2. Navigate to the Subscriptions page
3. Select the subscription you wish to cancel, use the filter to help with your search
4. Click on the Actions button and select Cancel subscription
5. Choose when to end the subscription and a refund amount:
   1. If there’s a dispute of some kind then cancel immediately and refund the last payment
   2. If the contributor is not disputing a charge, it can be canceled at the end of the current period (no refund)
6. After all of the settings are finalized, click Cancel subscription.
