Configuring your Indie Website brand

Learn how to configure your branding with Indie Website.

Indie Website offers easy branding configurations. You can see your changes reflected in the front end in real time. Let's explore the options below:

  1. Adding your logo and colors

    1. When logged in, visit Site options on Indie Website backend

    2. Under Logos and colors you can:

      1. Upload your header logo, footer logo and favicon (your logo in a square format) in .jpg and .png
        ​

      2. You can also add your branding colors:

        1. Primary Color: The main color that represents your brand. It appears on buttons and links throughout the site. It is used to generate some backgrounds and hover colors.

        2. Secondary Color: This color is used to highlight specific elements like the header button. It is also used to generate the color of labels and other backgrounds.

    3. Once you complete these changes, please Save Changes before exiting this section.

  2. Configuring your layout

    1. Under Layout, you can control page width and hide/display sidebar globally (across your site) or configure it differently for pages, posts and homepage.

    2. Under Layout > Homepage, you can toggle on/off the Top Email Capture and change its copy

    3. Under Layout > Footer, you can change the footer's email capture subscribe text
      ​

      1. You can also add partners or sponsors on the footer

  1. Selecting fonts: You can select heading and body fonts from a selection of highly legible and accessible font types that go well on both mobile and desktop and support several glyphs and special characters. You don't need to worry about font sizes and weights. It's all pre-set for you!

    1. You can change fonts by going to Site Options > Fonts

  1. Adding your Social Media: You can easily add your social media links. Those will appear over the heading and footer of your entire website

  1. Add your social channels by visiting Site Options > Social Media,

  2. You can also add your publication's link to Apple News and Google News by going to Social Media > News links
