Can I access Stripe payment information through News Revenue Engine?

A step-by-step guide on how to view, filter, and access detailed contribution and subscriber records in RevEngine and directly within Stripe.

All payments made through RevEngine contribution pages can be viewed in Stripe.

In this article, you will learn how to find payments in both your RevEngine dashboard and natively in Stripe.

Contributions dashboard

All payments processed on RevEngine are housed under the contributions dashboard, which you can use to view or export your RevEngine payment data.

Remember that the Stripe account you linked to RevEngine dashboard only shows contributions collected through the platform. If you’ve used other platforms that to collect donations, either in the past or currently, you won’t see that data in this Stripe account or in your RevEngine dashboard.

Finding links to Stripe Payments via RevEngine

  1. Sign in at RevEngine
  2. Navigate to Contributions in the main menu
  3. Click on one of the payments from the list. Here you will find Contribution details and Payment provider.
  4. Scroll down to the Payment provider section. You will have two options:
    1. Stripe payment, which details the payment in your Stripe account
    2. Stripe customer, which details information about your contributor
  5. Select the link that corresponds to the information you want and you will be transferred to your Stripe account
  6. If you are not already signed into Stripe, sign in to your Stripe account to see the detailed information

 

Finding payments directly on Stripe

If you choose, you can also see your payments directly in Stripe.

  1. Log in to the Stripe account that you created when you set up RevEngine
  2. In the dashboard panel, select Payments (or Customers and Subscriptions, if needed)
  3. Use Stripe’s filtering and sorting functionality to find your payment
  4. Select your desired payment option to open it in Stripe

If you are fiscally sponsored and the Stripe account belongs to your fiscal sponsor, you will not be able to access Stripe payments without their authorization.
