We love Stripe because it makes payment processing a breeze. However, no software (even our own) is free from the occasional hiccup. In this article, you will learn about the most common issues you might encounter while connecting your RevEngine account to Stripe and how you can troubleshoot them. Chat with them at [Stripe: Help & Support](https://support.stripe.com/) or email them at [support@stripe.com](mailto:support@stripe.com). ### **Issues Linking to Bank Account** During the process of creating a Stripe account, you will be prompted to connect to a bank account. If the bank connection fails and you receive an error message like the one below, it could be because: - Stripe couldn’t connect to your bank - Stripe couldn’t access your bank account - The account you provided is neither a checking nor savings account If you are sure you provided the correct type of account number, contact Stripe support for further assistance. Make sure this information exactly matches your* [*official IRS-issued documentation*](https://support.stripe.com/questions/using-irs-documentation-as-reference-when-entering-business-name-and-tax-id-number-tin-for-us-based-businesses) *(e.g., Letter 147C or SS-4 Confirmation letter). You can also upload these documents.*” There is a mismatch between the tax information in your dashboard and the tax information on file with the IRS. Please follow this[guide](https://support.stripe.com/questions/this-combination-of-tax-id-and-legal-name-was-not-recognized-by-the-irs-error-when-entering-tax-id-for-verification) and contact Stripe support if you need further assistance. #### **Too many tax ID updates** Some users may receive an error when they have attempted to update their tax ID too many times. This is because [Stripe limits](https://support.stripe.com/questions/you-have-tried-to-update-your-tax-information-too-many-times-today-error-after-attempting-to-enter-tax-id-number-multiple-times) the number of daily updates to prevent fraud. If you receive this error, please wait 24 hours and try entering the information again. If you encounter further problems, contact Stripe’s support team. ### **Connecting RevEngine to Stripe** Once your connection issue has been resolved, you should be able to successfully complete the Stripe connection process.
