How to test automation emails? 

Learn how to safely test and edit Indie Email automation emails by saving them as templates, ensuring updates don’t disrupt your active workflows.

To test an automation email just like a regular template, you'll first need to create the template. Here’s how you can do that:

1. Go to Automations and select the automation you'd like to edit.

2. Scroll down to find the email you want to test and click Edit. Please note that the automation will be temporarily turned off while you’re editing the email. Once you save the email as a template, you can easily turn the automation back on.

3. In the email editor, click the arrow menu in the top-right corner and select Save Copy to Template.

4. Give your new template a name.

5. Click Save.

6. Close the editor and then turn the automation back on.

7. Finally, go to Campaigns > Templates to test out your new template.

 

Just a quick reminder: any changes you make to the template won’t automatically update the automation email. You’ll need to manually update the automation email after completing your edits.
