This article will explain why this happens and how your IT or email admin can allowlist the Indie Email network to ensure delivery of newsletters to your team. ### **Why Internal Emails Get Blocked?** When you send a newsletter through Indie Email using your company’s email address as the sender: 1. Your email filter checks where the message originated. 2. It sees that the email claims to come from your company domain (e.g., `@mypublication.com`), but physically came from Indie Email's servers. 3. The filter flags this as **email spoofing** or **phishing** to protect your publication, and may accidentally block newsletters from your team. To fix this, your IT department needs to create an anti-spoofing bypass or safelist policy for our sending infrastructure. ### **How to safelist Indie Email in your spam filter** Instead of using individual IP addresses, which can change as our infrastructure scales, we route mail through a central delivery domain: **`md02.com`**. ### **How to update your safelist** Ask your IT team or email administrator to add **`md02.com`** to your email gateway’s safelist or anti-spoofing bypass list (e.g., in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or Proton). - **Domain to safelist:** `md02.com` - **Type:** Sender Domain / Authentication Bypass / SPF Domain > **Note for Admins:** safelisting `md02.com` covers our entire delivery network.
