How do I remove the phone number field?

To create a frictionless payment experience, RevEngine allows organizations to easily remove the phone number field via the page layout settings.

Newly created pages include a field for a phone number as part of your data collection. However, this field is optional and not required to make a contribution.

In the interest of a more frictionless experience, you can remove the phone number field altogether.

Removing the phone number field

To remove the phone number prompt:

  1. Sign in at RevEngine
  2. Select the page you’d like to edit from the Pages section of your RevEngine dashboard
  3. Select the Layout tab
  4. Find the Contributor Info block and click on its edit icon
  5. Deselect the switch labeled Ask for phone number?
  6. Update changes to the block before saving your page by selecting the Save icon

This will prevent contributors from submitting their phone numbers while making payments. If you instead wish to make it mandatory to provide a phone number, click here.
