How do I change the footer information on my contribution page?

Learn how to use a rich text block to add a custom footer to your RevEngine contribution page for sharing tax info, mailing addresses, or check instructions.

If you have additional information you want to disclose to your contributors, one place to do that is in the footer. This footer area is a useful spot to share your mailing address or, if you’re a nonprofit organization, explain tax-deductible gifts. This is also a good place to instruct contributors where to send checks if they don’t want to make payments by credit card.

Things to know

There are two ways to customize the text that appears at the bottom of your RevEngine contribution page. All Engine pages have a built-in copyright disclaimer and link to fundjournalism.org. You can’t delete these elements.

There is no built-in footer for your organization’s address or tax information. However, you can create one by adding a rich text block to your contribution page and formatting the text.

How to create a footer using a rich text block

  1. Sign in at RevEngine
  2. Select the page you’d like to edit from the Pages section of your RevEngine dashboard
  3. Select the Edit icon in the main menu to open the page editor.
  4. Navigate to the Layout tab in the page editor and click the Plus icon to add a new element to your page
  5. Choose a Rich text block; it should appear by default below all of the other elements you’ve already added to your page
  6. Click the edit icon on the rich text block to open the editing field
  7. Input the text you want to appear in your footer and format it. You can make the text smaller, italicize it, or center it on the page to distinguish it from the rest of your content
  8. Once you’ve added and formatted your text, save changes at the bottom of the text editor
  9. Select View at the top of the main menu to see your page as your audience would see it
  10. Save your page by selecting the Save icon
