[Customizing your page](https://help.indiegraf.com/revengine?hsLang=en#customizing-your-page) May 22, 2026 # How do I change the dollar amounts on my contribution page? ## RevEngine allows organizations to edit, add, or remove suggested donation amounts, highlight pre-selected default values, and enable custom gift options. Contributors who want to support your organization might not know how much to give. You can help them decide by showing **suggested donation amounts** on your contribution page. RevEngine pages come pre-filled with suggested amounts for monthly, yearly, and one-time donations. These are the figures we’ve come to recommend as best practices after years of working with several newsrooms to raise tens of millions in reader revenue. However, we recognize that our default suggestions don’t suit every audience. In this article, you will learn about how to customize these dollar amounts for your organization. ### **How to edit suggested contribution amounts** To modify your suggested contribution values, you’ll need to edit the **Contribution amount** block in our page editor. 1. Sign in at [RevEngine](https://engine.fundjournalism.org/sign-in) 2. Select the page you’d like to edit from the **Pages** section of your RevEngine dashboard 3. Select the **Edit icon** in the main menu to open the page editor 4. Select the **Layout** tab 5. Find the **Contribution amount** block and click on its edit icon ### **Adding and removing contribution amounts** When you first enter the **Contribution amount** block, you will find that each contribution has several pre-set amounts. You can remove a suggested contribution amount by clicking on the **"X”** next to it. To add an amount, type one into the input field and click the **plus sign** to display it to contributors. When you are finished: 1. Save changes at the bottom of the **Contribution amount** block 2. Select **View** at the top of the main menu to see your page as your audience would see it 3. Save your page by selecting the **Save icon** Note: You must always have at least one dollar-amount suggestion for each frequency option (one-time, monthly or yearly) you display to readers. ### **Selecting default amounts** Once you decide which suggested contribution levels to display to readers, you’ll have the option to highlight one value for each giving frequency. This value will be pre-selected on your page when a reader goes to make a contribution. For instance, if you want the default yearly contribution amount to be $400, highlight the $400 option in your **Contribution amount** block. Users who visit your page automatically have the $400 option selected when they indicate that they wish to make an annual contribution. (They can always change this, of course, by choosing another suggested amount or inputting their own.) To select a default suggestion for your readers, simply click on any existing amount in your **Contribution amount** block to highlight it. ### **Other amounts** You can also choose to enable/disable **Other** for each frequency.
