How do I change the contribution frequency options on my contribution page?

RevEngine allows organizations to customize giving intervals and set a default payment frequency within the Layout tab to help drive recurring gifts.

One of the best ways to achieve financial sustainability as a news organization is to secure recurring contributions from your audience.

RevEngine contribution pages allow users to make yearly, monthly, and one-time contributions. In an effort to nudge readers toward recurring gifts, our default page settings suggest a monthly contribution. You can adjust the suggested donation amount and frequency to meet the needs of your organization.

How to edit contribution frequencies

You can configure the suggested contribution frequencies in our page editor.

  1. Sign in at RevEngine
  2. Select the page you’d like to edit from the Pages section of your RevEngine dashboard
  3. Select the Edit icon in the main menu to open the page editor
  4. Select the Layout tab
  5. Find the Contribution frequency block and click on its edit icon
  6. In the editing tool, you can add or remove contribution intervals or set default intervals to show to readers

When you’re editing the Contribution frequency block, you also have the option to enable or disable each frequency. To do so, simply switch your desired giving interval on or off.

You will not be able to turn off all giving frequency options.

 

Setting a default frequency

To choose a default frequency for all contributors, click on the selected by default box next to your desired frequency.

A few notes:

  • Only one default frequency can be selected at a time
  • There must always be a default frequency on your page

When you are done:

  1. Save changes at the bottom of the Contribution frequency block
  2. Select View at the top of the main menu to see your page as your audience would see it
  3. Save your page by selecting the Save icon
