[Branding and images](https://help.indiegraf.com/revengine?hsLang=en#branding-and-images) May 22, 2026 # How do I add an image or text to the sidebar of my contribution page? ## RevEngine allows organizations to use the Sidebar tab to upload branding images and write rich text copy that supplements the main form. You can use the sidebar section of your contribution page to supplement the information you show to users in your contribution form. It’s a great place to showcase an alternative logo, provide a picture of your staff hard at work, or give more insight into your organization’s mission and goals. In this article, you will learn how to add elements to the sidebar section of your page. **Accepted sidebar image types** News Revenue Engine currently supports JPEG, GIF, WEBP, and PNG files up to 2.5 MB in size. ### **How to add elements to your sidebar** 1. Sign in at [RevEngine](https://engine.fundjournalism.org/sign-in) 2. Select the page you’d like to edit from the **Pages** section of your News Revenue Engine dashboard 3. Select the **Edit icon** in the main menu to open the page editor 4. Select the **Sidebar** tab. This is where you can build your sidebar with text fields and images. 5. Select the **Plus icon** at the bottom right of the menu. Choose **Image**. This will add an image block to your sidebar. 6. Click the edit icon on the image block to open the image editor. Drag and drop a file or click the upload icon to choose one from your computer. 7. Once you’ve uploaded your image, click the **Save icon** to close out of the image editor. 8. To add text to the sidebar select the **Plus icon**. Choose **Rich text**. This will add a rich text block to your sidebar. (See the image below to understand where these elements would be on your page.) 9. Click the edit icon on the rich text block to open the editor. Type or paste your copy. 10. Save changes at the bottom of the rich text block. 11. Select **View** at the top of the main menu to see your page as your audience would see it 12.
