Web Push Notifications
Web Push Notifications are small message alerts that are trigger when you publish new content. These small alerts are displayed on a reader's desktop or mobile when their browser is open. On mobile, web push appears similar to a native alert, with no app required. Plus, readers can subscribe to it with just one click — there's no need to enter personal information!
🔴 However: web push notifications prompts can be display only once for each visitor! When the user blocks the notifications you cannot display the browser prompt again, due to browser restrictions! So make sure to follow the best practices below:
-
Sign up prompts: Display the prompt only when readers have begun consuming content on your site. You should consider display the prompt on the 3rd page they visit.
-
Look & feel of custom prompts: Highlight why your readers should subscribe to your web push notifications. Images drive more engagement and will help you communicate your brand
- Keep it short: All your notifications should be concise and to the point. Keep notifications to 6-8 words to ensure the highest number of people engage with your product.

Top Articles
Top Articles display your most read posts within a specific time range. By default, it's set for the past 7 day, but it's possible to change the time range for the last 24h or 30 days, for instance.
Displaying popular articles allows readers to easily find new articles while improving the visibility of your best content.
